In the latest issue of Television Week, the right-leaning FOX “News” (in quotes because their reporting is even more biased than mine) ran a two-page ad with the obnoxious headline: “MEET THE PARIS HILTON OF TELEVISION NEWS.” While Anderson Cooper isn’t pictured or named, there’s a photo of a slim, grey-haired man in a suit.
Hmmm.
The below-the-belt ad also claims that “Anderson” — aka the Paris Hilton of news anchors — is “style over substance, a “media darling” and that “he still gets beat EVERY NIGHT BY … Greta Van Susteren.”
Hmmm.
The spat erupted last week when …

In a revealing new interview with Esquire magazine, CBS anchor Katie Couric makes it clear that she reads her own press (good and bad) — and, unfortunately for Esquire, she remembers it. “There are a lot of circling vultures that will eat you alive,” she says. “You guys even take a shot at me. You have something in the November issue, something about how since I’ve become an anchor, you don’t know me anymore. You don’t know me anymore? Bite me.”
Sassy! Maybe it’s not that they don’t know you, Katie; they …

Break out the champagne…

Instead of honoring the usual suspects — such as the President, Pelosi or the tabloid-fighting wonder duo that that is Al Gore and Lindsay Lohan — Time has decided to celebrate someone much more fascinating (and better-looking, I might add)… YOU. That is, those who are an integral part of the world-changing YouTube, MySpace and, yes, blogging generation.
So kudos to us! Just sorry I missed out on my photo op. My people must’ve missed Time’s call. Too bad. Hope your publicists are …

1999 - 2006FHM (For Him Magazine), which gained fame exploiting everything from spread-eagled sorority girls to Brooke Hogan, has passed way. Long suffering from falling circulation and the always-fatal lack of profitability, the magazine finally died in the hands of Emap Consumer Media CEO, Paul Keenan, last evening. It is survived by its online counterpart, thousands of frustrated horny men, and the wildly more successful Maxim.

Here’s a peek at Scarlett Johansson hawking Louis Vuitton’s Spring/ Summer 2007 line. Very ’40s pin-upesque.
What do you think? Would you be more likely to buy a three-thousand- dollar keepall from Scarlett, Uma Thurman or Jennifer Lopez?
LV may have a revolving door of models, but it certainly looks like they’ve maintained a consistent message: Keep your bag at arm’s length.

Vice President Dick Cheney’s daughter, Mary Cheney, is expecting her first baby with her partner of 15 years, Heather Poe. The Washington Post reports:
It’s a baby boom for grandparents Dick and Lynne Cheney: Their older daughter, Elizabeth, went on leave as deputy assistant secretary of state before having her fifth child in July. “The vice president and Mrs. Cheney are looking forward with eager anticipation to the arrival of their sixth grandchild,” spokesman Lea Anne McBride said last night.
News of the pregnancy will undoubtedly reignite the debate about gay marriage. During the campaign, …
