Julie Delpy at the Edinburgh International Film Festival premiere of “Two Days in Paris”

“I am a writer/director/musician/actress. Une artiste sérieuse, merci beaucoup. Seriously, look it up on Wiki. I am très talented! So how is it that I got lower billing than RuPaul in But I’m a Cheerleader? And that I’m still relegated to doing movies like But I’m a Cheerleader? And pseudo-intellectuals keep bugging me to recite nonsensical lines from Before Sunrise, such as: ‘You know, I have this …

Bad-Ass, Thy Name is Hilary Duff

Filed under: Celebrities, Fashion

The ever-cost-efficient Hilary Duff has wisely chosen an outfit that she can not only wear for her “Dignity” concert tour (a title I’m hoping is tongue-in-cheek), but also for the inevitable remake of the classic flick, Earth Girls Are Easy:

It’s perfect, right? Alien chic meets Valley Girl hoochie.

Hilary will, of course, play Clueless Valerie (originally Geena Davis) of the Valley, who discovers her fiance is cheating on her (!) about the same time aliens (originally Jim Carrey, Damon Wayans and Jeff Godlbum. . . but I will cast Johnny Knoxville, Andy Dick and another …

gorbachev_vuitton.jpg

Just Shoot Her

Filed under: Celebrities, Fashion

Laura San Giacomo has had a solid career. Okay, sure, she had a string of doozies in the ’90s. (Remember Quigley Down Under? You know, the one where Tom Selleck is hired by an Australian rancher to shoot aborigines and charms Laura’s “Crazy Cora” with gems like, “Lady, you’re about a half a bubble off plumb, and that’s fer sure and fer certain”? No…? Fer the best.) But in a decade that boasts English Patient as its finest cinematic achievement… odds are, you ARE going to star in a few doozies.

No hate mail, please. …

Pop Quiz:  Beyoncé

Filed under: Celebrities, Fashion, Pop Quizzes

beyonce_louisvuitton.jpg

Beyoncé bought this Louis Vuitton Tribute Patchwork Bag (retail: $45,352; composed of samples of 15 different LV handbags; only four available in the U.S.) because:

1. She thought it was cool she could also hide a cup holder in there;

2. She plans to take it to a therapist for its identity crisis;

3. She’s always wanted a mobile tribute to static cling;

4. Andre Leon Talley told her it’s the chicest “must-have” accessory since metallic boleros;

5. Well, what else was she supposed to do with that extra $45,000 lying around? Duh!…
