i suspect, in all honestly, LFB is using some sort of steriod to treat a medical condition as she has what we refer to as a “moon face”. while health issues related to adrenal and thyroid disorders can cause the type of facial puffiness to occur much like people who take immunosuppressive therapy, this is ultimately what individuals must contend with in order to get better or get the medical ailment under control. i had a student who was on prednisone for ulcerative colitiis and also had the same round puffy face like LFB. anywho, props to LFB for still getting out in public despite it all.

After 10 years of infertility (3 miscarriages too) and considering adoption, my husband and I just finished our home study.
With all of the heart ache involved in infertility, the invasiveness of the home study process(required in most states before anyone can legally adopt) and the seriously in-depth agency applications, I cringe at the lack of empathy and surplus of judgement when I hear people suggest it is the “in” thing to do.
Nice to get all of that out. I feel better now. Thanks!
