It’s a fact many human beings exhibit the traits of herd mentality, a term used to describe how people tend to adopt the behaviors and trends of their peers instead of thinking for themselves. The Daily Mail featured a story today that helps illustrate this phenomenon. It seems the latest celebrity must-have accessory is a pair of blue sunglasses and everyone is wearing them. What, you don’t have your pair yet? No worries, I’m sure a fleet of supertankers stuffed full of blue sunglasses is leaving China right now and will arrive on America’s shores by early next week. Keep checking your local Hot Topic for them, but remember…Paris Hilton is leading the herd, are you sure you want to follow?
