As we all know, Britney Spears left UCLA Medical Center’s psych ward yesterday, making the streets in my neighborhood exponentially less safe. Today, it’s being reported that she was released early ’cause the court found “no just cause” for the hold.
Although Britney’s doctor and parents wanted her to stay, the decision was overridden by the court representative. The decision apparently followed regular procedure for any patient on a 14-day hold, which calls for a hearing at the hospital to find out whether it’s justified. The court rep, called a “hearing referee” – who is usually a lawyer – interviews the patient and doctor to determine if there’s “just cause” for detainment.
Upon being released, Britney was up to her same old tricks, talking in a British accent, hanging out with paparazzo “friend,” Fillipe, at the Beverly Hills Hotel and causing general mayhem. However, TMZ reports that Britney’s father — who issued a statement with Lynne saying, “We are deeply concerned about our daughter’s safety and vulnerability and we believe her life is presently at risk” — will likely be back in court tomorrow, fighting for more control over the circus surrounding Britney.
Man, I could sure go for one of Britney’s Frappuccinos right now, because just writing about her life exhausts me. Please, Britney, get the help you need — if not for you, if not for your kids, then do it for ME. I already consume too much caffeine. Hell, you’re going to drive me to double-fist Red Bulls with shots of espresso soon!
