Wait — I thought New Year’s Day was approaching, not April Fools…? Because Lindsay Lohan will receive an award for her “contribution to cinema” at the Capri Film Festival in Italy tonight, which certainly reeks of a bad joke (just like the fake poo I used to put on my dad’s pillow to celebrate April 1st).
It must have been the Murakami-like Freaky Friday or the playful tinges of Godard-inspired European experimentalism embodied in Herbie: Fully Loaded that moved the judges to celebrate Lindsay’s body of work. Meanwhile, Holy Candy’s sources say Hayden Panettiere showed up to accept her “Most Likely to Star in Mean Girls 2″ Award, as well as to take advantage of the free hors d’oeuvres.

this should be in your category “signs of the apocalypse”
she’s probably saying “yeah, like, totally. it’s about time i was recognized for being a gooder actress than any other person else. i’m only going to this dumby award show to practice for when i get the lifetme acheivement for the next academy oscars. “

Lindsay has contributed to cinema. If you don’t believe me I will give you some examples of her contribution to cinema.
Contribution 1: Awww…who am I kidding, homegirl hasn’t contributed a thing.
I would have given myself a brain aneurysm trying to figure out 1 thing that she has contributed to cinema.

Uhh. At least Lindsey’s been in a couple of movies though. What has Hayden done besides Heros?

Well, there’s “Freaky Friday”, a cinematic masterpiece, in 25 years, critics will surely compare it to “Gone With The Wind”. Lindsay also gives an amazing performance in “Herbie Fully Loaded” and “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen”-she’s the Ethel Barrymore of her generation.

I agree about LiLo’s Freak. Speaking of freaks-who is the guy sitting next to her? And no, I don’t mean the Rufie chick.

I’ve always thought these two twits looked like twins. One time I saw a video of Hayden walking down the street, being chased by papazarri. A walker by thought she was Hohan, and she got really mad. This award is probably a set up to get her more publicity.

Randi - wasn’t Hayden the little annoying (but very pretty) coach’s daughter in Remember the Titans? She did movies before TV.

Sara I remember that incident too, when the paps called Hayden “Lindsay” by mistake, and her reaction was, “Don’t EVER call me that again.” This pic looks so uncomfortable, but moreso on Hayden’s part. Maybe she’s wondering, “Does Lindsay know what I said? Should I apologize?” And maybe Lindsay’s thinking, “I’m just going to let her stew.”

Thanks for the
input on the mullet
wig-dude, MMB!
Hayden’s hands look
itty-bitty. Lindsay
has her hands folded
the same way as her,
trying to imitate the
more “likeable” one
of these two.
But I still see those
invisible horns sticking
out of her head.

What a complete joke, Blowhan getting an award for contribution to cinema. Every role she’s played has been only and exactly what she is… a teenaged girl. Gee, that was a stretch for her acting abilities. I’ve yet to see something that shows me she has any substantial talent, where she steps outside of her comfort zone and doesn’t just rely on good writing and direction.
And the rufie chick (nice one Vern!) is getting more annoying by the hour. She always looks like she’s concentrating on squeezing out a big turd.
