There must be a chapter in the “Guide to Your New Nose” that mandates you must show off your side profile when someone takes your picture. Based on my tragically extensive knowledge of Ashlee Simpson’s “new nose pose,” I’m estimating that High School Musical’s Ashley Tisdale (as seen here at the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation Winter Wonderland in L.A.) will strike this pose for the next year or so, until she finally forgets that she has a new nose and faces the camera — GASP! — straight on.

You know, the deviated septum is all the rage these days. I walked into a local art gallery yesterday and asked the coordinator how she was doing. She said, “Oh, I have a deviated septum. I’ll have to get it fixed. Of course, being thousands of miles away from Hollyrude, I replied, “Really?” She was like, “Uh no, it was a JOKE.” Oh, right, right, got it.

I’ve never really seen this girl before she got this nose job but seeing her before and after pictures (obviously not these above) I think she looked much better before. Her face had personality.

If you actually have seen many pictures of Ashley most of her poses are taken from the side. Being a celebrity she knows how to work the camera, and she’s just trying to show her best side. And isn’t that what most of us try to do in photos? Not look like ourselves?
