Amy Winehouse may have to cancel that holiday blow-out she had planned, as she’s been arrested on suspicion of “perverting the course of justice” — the UK’s version of interfering with a police investigation. Her husband is currently in prison for a similar charge: “causing grievous bodily harm and conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.”
TMZ has confirmed that the arrest was made “by appointment” in London today.
Forced sobriety — perhaps the best holiday gift Amy could receive.
Of course, that’s MY worst nightmare. A sober Christmas with the family…? No way could I handle creepy Uncle Jim pulling me on to his lap and Grandma asking me, “When the hell are you gonna give up this writing nonsense and go to law school already?” for the umpteenth time without a vodka tonic in-hand. Happy Holidays, indeed.
