Nothing Natural About Posh

Victoria Beckham offers up a slice of humble pie in the most recent issue of Elle, admitting that despite earning fame and fortune in a pop band, performing comes far from naturally to her. She said:

“It became very obvious from the start that I was never going to be the best singer or the best dancer or the best actress. I was never a ‘natural’. You know, I’ve never been that good at anything, to be completely honest.”

She also discussed her less-than-sunny school days, when other students would bully her for being overweight (yup) and acne-prone:

“[Children] were literally picking things up out of the puddles and throwing them at me. And I just stood there, on my own. No one was with me. I didn’t have any friends. People would push me around, say they were going to beat me up after school, chase me. It was miserable, my whole schooling, miserable. I tried to be friends with people, but I didn’t fit in. So I kept myself to myself.”

I smell a Lifetime Movie of the Week… ! Oh wait, no — that’s actually Matthew McConaughey a few neighborhoods over. My bad.

On a happier note, Posh says she’s been keeping busy with work: “I work seven days a week. And I so love what I’m doing. I could go shopping all day, which is what a lot of people think that I do. That’s their perception — that I’m a miserable bitch and go shopping all day and boss David about.”

Aw, c’mon, that’s not true. People don’t think you go shopping all day, Posh! (I keed, I keed… I’ve actually had a girl crush on Posh ever since I watched her reality show, Coming to America. YES, I watched her — hello?  Guys?!  Where did you go…?)

this interview makes me like her more.

  2. big joe

she does see more likeable now. i think the whole reason she is saying this is so she’ll be invited to go on the jenny jones show to confront her past bullies.

  3. I like how she doesn’t bitch and complain about the public’s perception of her (AHEM, heather mills)… she seems to take it all in stride.

IF this junk is true, one
has to give her a tiny
fraction of a pass on her
    behavior for the last
    ten years. IF…

I love how publicity whores like Posh or
Victoria or Ralph, or whatever her name is,
tell such sob stories of their ’supposed’ childhoods, and then sit back and enjoy the spoils of their efforts. You all know she wants you to buy the Beckham/Posh brand, the jeans, books, fragrances, books, magazines, concerts, etc….blah, blah, blah….She is selling it, and it seems to be working. She knew coming to America was going to pay off, because the people of Great Britain were sick of her a**. It is along the same lines of buying into the whole Tom Cruise thing. See his movies and
you support his Xenu crazy a**.

I wish she’d keep herself to herself nowadays. Yeesh!

  7. Bee Hind

She doesn’t spend her days going shopping,
she has obsequious servants to do that for her.

Besides the tax situation is probably better in the good old U.S. of A.

I watched the show too. She’s got a great sense of humor.
