Angelina Jolie May Have Competition for Mother’s Day

Never a dull day in Brangelinaland…

A woman claiming to be Zahara Jolie-Pitt’s mother spoke with In Touch, saying that she wants her baby back with her in Africa “to regain her identity.” Mentewab Dawit Lebiso, 24, claims two-year-old Zahara was conceived from a rape and confessed: “I thought the baby was going to die because there was no food, so I ran away.”

In response to the woman’s claims, Maddox a friend in Angelina’s camp said: “[Angelina] believes that Zahara is an orphan and the woman who claims to be her mom is mistaken. Government papers said Zahara was an Aids orphan and Angie had no reason to believe otherwise.”

However, sources say Angelina is prepared, should the woman prove to be Z’s mother — and is willing to barter Shiloh in exchange for the less blob-like toddler.

oh my god, that woman looks exactly like zahara.

From the money she has made she can feed the whole village for a year!

This is pathetic, LEAVE BRANGELINA ALONE

  3. jujubee - I don’t doubt that IS her mother (even though others have come forward claiming to be her mom & were proven to be lying.)

However, you can’t run away from your baby because you think it’s daying then come back a few years later “OK I’m ready to take care of her now!”

I’m in no position to judge, none of us are really, but still…

Ach, regardless, Zahara isn’t going anywhere, this’ll blow over as soon as the next juicy Brangelina story comes along.

  4. “daying” ????? O_o I think I meant “dying”….LOL

While I’m not a Branglina fan, I feel that they are being used for money purposes only and am sure they have some lawyers out there willing to do their bidding to insure her finalized adoption with them.
It must be an awful thing to feel someone can take away the child you have loved and nurtured back to health! I hope this matter is resolved in their behalf. Looks like money will help get this woman off their back for good. I guess sometimes that saying, “Fame can sometimes be a bitch”…rings true this time.

  6. Shit! I think that woman is just a profiteer

I think she’s looking for a pay day.
I’d call her bluff and say, “Okay, she’s all yours. Come and get her.”
I doubt they’d ever hear from her again.

I agree with jenner: You can’t give your baby up and then a few years later when she’s established with a loving family in another country come back and say, “Oops! I thought she was dead. I want her back now that she’s healthy and well-fed.” Don’t think so.

  9. That african woman want some money, that’s what I think http://www.spymac.com/details?2294183

  10. If this is true (and it’s dubious), this is sad.

I was on line at Rite Aid, saw the magazine photo and was stopped in my tracks. I got chills. I’ve NEVER seen a mother and daughter look more alike.

I think it would be wise of Angelina to at least speak with this woman and see to what extent she wishes to be involved. She may just be in it for the money, in which case, a nice check will get her to sign away any further claims. And if she is truly a mother wanting to be reunited with her child, then her feelings should be addresed.

It is possible that Zahara’s status was misrepresented at the orphanage, it happens. But it doesn’t have to go any further than this story, especially if Angie chooses to take action rather than say, “Too bad, it’s legal. They told me so.” And keep on walking.
