Rosie O’Donnell in Talks with MSNBC

Rosie O’Donnell, who as you may remember, abruptly left/was fired from The View last spring after causing a stir for her opinions on everything from the Iraq war to her co-hosts, is in serious discussions to return to TV with a prime-time show on MSNBC.

She’d likely replace the low-rated Live with Dan Abrams in the 9 p.m. slot, so she’d go head-to-head with Fox News’ Hannity and Colmes and CNN’s Larry King Live.

However, there are a number of issues that still need to be worked out, reports the New York Times, including launch date, salary and whether Rosie would also be seen on the NBC broadcast network.

In response to the news, Larry King said he’d welcome the friendly competition from “that woman from ‘Sister Act’”… and then promptly took a nap on his desk.

I first encountered Rosie on the VH1 comedy
series she hosted many years ago. She can be
    genuinely hilarious, even genuinely perceptive.

However… the last few years have shown us a
    somewhat badly informed bloviating blowhard.

If she would go back to her informed, funny,
clever persona, this would be a show to watch.

    I wish her well.

she is a moonbat - I’ll not be watching

  8. My jaw hit the floor when I saw the “Larry w/Seinfeld” piece. (Stoooopid.) Alzheimer’s must be involved…

    Rosie should be entertaining.

    Seinfeld on Larry:

Thanks Jewed. Actually, I always seem to have a different perspective on things, but I was more annoyed by Jerry’s egotistical response. #1 show, blah, blah. Wasn’t it starting to lag, critics saying it’s time to end? Weren’t they just trying to go out on top? It would have been classier to laugh and simply say, “No we weren’t cancelled,” and roll his eyes at the camera. Rather than the whole, “DO you know who I am??” diatribe.
