More than three weeks after being charged with two misdemeanor charges from her hit-and-run accident, Britney Spears finally booked herself with the LAPD tonight.

Britney wore her finest prison wear to the Van Nuys Valley Jail: a black mini dress, black leather jacket and silver chains around her neck. No word on whether she was still sporting her classy pink wig. If she WAS wearing that wig in her mugshot…? Oh, I hate to get my hopes up. That would be too much to dream of! But if she was, I will definitely have to ditch my Prisoner Paris costume and sport Mugshot Britney to all the Halloween parties instead. Fingers crossed.

Throughout the 45-minute standard booking procedure of fingerprinting and all that good stuff, Britney was apparently cooperative and polite. Of course, why shouldn’t she be? She was never put in a holding cell and was probably even offered a complimentary Frappuccino. TMZ also claims cops offered her the back entrance — but she declined, opting to go in the front door. (Say what –? Britney electing to be surrounded by paparazzi? That’s so unlike her!) As far as next steps go, she will be issued a release from custody citation, which tells her next court appearance. Both misdemeanors — of hit and run and driving without a valid license — carry a maximum of 6 months in jail.

Okay, okay… here’s what you REALLY want to know: According to Britney’s inmate information, she is 5′5″ and 125 pounds. Her hair is naturally — GASP! — brown.

Thank goodness I’ve never been arrested. I mean, I could handle having to spoon with Big Bertha and eating bologna sandwiches even though I haven’t had red meat since I was 16, but to have my weight become public information…? Just devastating.
