The latest to hop on the trendy DUI train: Kiefer Sutherland, who was arrested in my ‘hood of West Hollywood last night after partying at nightclub, Area, and allegedly blowing more than twice the legal limit of .08.
Yeah, THAT makes me feel safe on the road.
This is Kiefer’s second DUI in the past three years, so if convicted, he must serve a minimum of five days in jail — which, in celebrity days, equals one hour. He was released on $25,000 bail — chump change when you earn $40 million a year — at 5:42 a.m. this morning, while I was still likely dreaming about having a chat with Angelina Jolie (working on a celebrity blog makes you dream about weird things, let me tell ya).
According to the L.A. Sheriff’s Dept. Web site, the actor is 5′10″ and weighs 150 lbs. However, I, who am not quite 5′8″, once saw Kiefer around town and could rest my coffee cup on his head (very convenient), so I’m thinking… that’s a bunch of crap.
As are celebrity DUIs. Get a damn cab, people! I am a professional drinker-and-cabber, so I KNOW they’re easy to find in Los Angeles, especially in West Hollywood. Man, these celebs make me more angry than my almost-empty cereal box (Why did I even put it back in the cupboard? It’s just crumbs!).
