Tyne Daly’s Facial Expression, which gained fame for its stern looks on Cagney & Lacy and even sterner looks on Judging Amy, has passed away, as evidenced by the above right-hand picture taken at the opening of the Broadway show, Curtains, this evening. Succumbing to that Hollywood disease known as being a “woman of a certain age,” Tyne Daly’s Facial Expression died in the hands of an overzealous plastic surgeon. According to an eyewitness, its last words were, “Please stop pulling.”
Tyne Daly’s Facial Expression is survived by unnatural-looking brown lowlights and an immense acting talent. It will be forever missed.

Can her eyebrows get any higher? Sad, I always loved her expressive face.
