Well, this is a surprising high note for Beyoncé — the coveted cover shot of this year’s Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. The singer posed on a Florida beach in a yellow-and-pink bikini by — who else? — House of Dereon, the fashion label she started with her mother, Tina Knowles.
The 2007 swimsuit edition continues with a music theme inside, featuring models posing with Kanye West, Aerosmith (let’s pray they’re not in Speedos), Kenny Chesney, Gnarls Barkley and Panic! At the Disco.
Why, oh why, did they choose Beyoncé? Sure, she’s pretty, but she’s also ridiculously overexposed (and not in the way the Sports Illustrated crowd would appreciate). If SI must use a “music theme,” why not feature a hot up-and-comer such as Rihanna?
Oh, well. I’m just thankful Beyoncé kept her pits to herself this time.

Who cares? They should have chosen someone such as Mandy Moore. Now that is one woman with class and without a diva attitude. And Mandy is beautiful!!

Overexposed. She should just disappear for a while, then have a “comeback.”
