Oh the agony of the heart that craves the love it cannot have. Troubled party girl Lindsay Lohan has finally checked into rehab in order to recover from her insatiable desire for vodka. The name of the rehab facility is Wonderland. Does the treatment involve the attending of Mad Tea Parties and the chasing of white rabbits? Maybe for Lindsay, but not for anyone else in residence. Sources claim she’s given special treatment because of her celebrity status and has turned Wonderland into “a joke“. Whatever the case may be, we hope Lindsay receives the publicity treatment she needs for her speedy recovery. Medium: Ink on paper with apologies to Sir John Tenniel. Much thanks to Holly for the brainstorm.

What an injustice world with all that celeb press and public curiousity. She couldn’t even go to Wonderland without sensation and a flock of “follow the celebrities in the colored press” hungry sheeps.
I’ll date my dentist.She got the mag’s.

I love Alice in Wonderland. I have the Disney DVD. I want to be the Chesire Cat. I love how you put your Strawberry Quick into her pocket. Now I have that Jefferson Airplane song in my head. Alice in Wonderland has so many wonderful associations and implications. This reminds me of when I dropped acid for my senior prom.
So Much Love,
Demon Kitty

Oh, I love your Valentines!!
stena-It’s from Alice in Wonderland. Lindsay looks like Alice here, because she is going to a rehab centre called Wonderland.

Stena, have a look at the archives here on LinLo and you’ll understand the Quik reference… 14 did a great piece a while back on it. Allegedly, L has been said to mix strawberry Quik with her cocaine for a berry nice snort.
A perfect subject for Valentine’s, I think… no one has seemed to capture Lindsay’s heart quite as effectively or strongly as that tantalizing devil, Vodka. Soon we’ll all be wondering whether the red nose is due to the Quik or the broken blood vessels. That girl is going down faster than Joan Jett on Carmen Electra.

Your brilliance has rendered me speechless. I can just see the Mad Tea Party with all of Little Lindsay Lost’s new friends in Wonderland. By the way, who was the joker/genius who came up with that name for a rehab facility? As you detox visions of walking cards and talking rabbits dance on the walls…??
Fourteen, you are like the finest wine and your art and inspirations get better and better. I want to drink you and see what hallucinations await me. Baaa haaa!

Beautiful, whimsical, sad, haunting and hilarious…I can’t say I’ve felt so many different emotions at the same time except when observing great art. 14, you truly are my favorite artist. I stop and tell total strangers about you at the Getty Museum, book store, the market, wherever the subject of art, celebrities and/or the fall of Western Civilization come up.

This one has me torn. I am inexplicably a huge fan of Lindsay, not really because of any of her roles, but just… Like I said, it’s inexplicable. This past year has been hard for me as a L.L. fan. You protrayed her flatteringly- at least her face.
On the other hand…. I went through detox once and I think she is getting special treatment- but she is Lindsay Lohan! Can you give LL any less?

wow, you are taking me back.
I have a personal affinity for Alice. I played her in a summer camp production of Alice In Wonderland. I was possesed. My sister played the Cheshire cat, and my other sister played the Rabbit. My baby sister played a flamingo, for croquet. Wonderland facility?? WHAT were they thinking naming it something we will forever associate with with tripped out genius writings of that freaky (pedophile?) Lewis Carroll. You are truly one of the violinists on the Titanic, my dear.
Thank you. Dreamy, evocative, rife with symbolism from our own youths, and it speaks to her corrupted innocence so perfectly. Twas Brillig, and the slithy toves, did gire and gimble in the wabe, all mimsy were the borogoves, and the momeraths, outgrabe!! I want to read the book now. XOXOX

plus, I always love all your comments that you get, Demon Kitty, Sage and Fanny.etal.
So entertaining and insightful, and I love hearing it put into words how other people feel affected by your artwork.
It is like reading the book of comments at an art show, and you get such articulate, witty ones. Much more than any other blog I have seen. Thank you for that.

Yes, 14- this string of comments was a pretty serious one as these things go. Fitting for a slightly more serious piece I reckon. This one is great, and I think if Tenniel saw the state of things today he might not mind so much.

Okay, how much am I bet that in 2 years we won’t even remember Lindsey? She’s brought all this b.s on herself. Screw that business of bad family back ground. Some of us had those issues also. And a good deal of us turned out all right. I’m not buying her sob stories. She’s a pampered and spoiled little wench, who’s on her way to hasbeen-dom.
Blech! Off with her head! Right on!

Her little pinafore outfit brings me back to the days when she did those cute movies for Disney that my 10 year old daughter and her friends enjoyed…Sad to see how she’s turning out. Beautiful drawing, reminds me of antique children’s book illustrations.

FANTASTIC!!!! You have captured the essence of “old” and “new” in this one! I have never posted on your site before but I really admire your satire! Please, please, please do the same Tenniel style with the “tea” party….I can see them all now, Nicole as the Cheshire Cat (big smile but constantly disappearing due to her anorexia), Brittany Spears as the Dormouse (falling asleep of course)….too much good stuff in that one!!!!

I saw that picture in a drug book in the library the other day. I like it when you interpret their physical bodies. It is interesting to visually interpret their feelings. Some of the pieces of Paris look really sad, and I’m sure that’s how she feels a lot.
