My apologies for the belated tribute… I was in dire need of a venti iced latte run. Thankfully, I’m now all hopped up on my three espresso shots and rarin’ to go…

While most celebrate Hump Day as the start of the weekend countdown, we at Holy Candy also use it to acknowledge, well, humping — especially of the scandalous variety — by inducting worthy celebrities into the weekly “Hump Hall of Shame”:

Congrats to Jude Law for being the fourth esteemed inductee!

Jude Law launched former fiancée Sienna Miller into fame (more like infamy) when he publicly humiliated her with the ultimate cliché: banging the nanny. When the nanny’s boasting hit the tabloids, the nanny-diddling actor was forced to issue the dreaded Press Release of Shame:

Actor Jude Law has expressed “sincere regret” over an affair with nanny Daisy Wright as he made a public apology to his fiancee, actress Sienna Miller. Law issued a statement after reports of his affair with Ms Wright, 26, who cared for one of his three children.

“I just want to say I am deeply ashamed and upset that I’ve hurt Sienna and the people most close to us,” said Law, 32. “There is no defence for my actions which I sincerely regret.”

Best of all, the nanny kept a diary of the entire affair, including the time Jude stole a move from his own movie, Alfie (insult to injury: that’s where Jude met Sienna) and ravaged his child-care professional on top of a pool table. Naughty and unoriginal. Love it!
