Nick Lachey is thrilled to hear his labelmate, Britney Spears, is back in the studio, working on her comeback after filing for divorce from K-FedEx — and, in fact, wants to be Brit-Brit’s opening act when she tours. Nick, who knows all about public break-ups after splitting from Jessica Simpson last year, says, “She has that quality about her that people want to root for. If she puts together a great record, and I’m confident she will, I think she’ll be right back to where she was. A joint tour would be a Jive Records dream right there… I’d open for Britney.”
Hmmm… we know Mr. Lachey has a soft spot for chesty Southern brown-eyed blondes. Maybe he and Brit-Brit could make beautiful music together? Okay, you’re right, the music may not be so beautiful, but Nickney could be. It’s a saying, people. Work with me here…
