Gwyneth Paltrow was duly impressed with her one-time fiancĂ© Brad Pitt’s work in his new flick Babel. Gwynnie attended a New York screening of the film Tuesday and told the New York Daily News, “It’s the best performance Brad’s ever given.” Paltrow even predicted he would be a winner come Oscar night, and said the movie “makes you want to take good care of your children.” So much so, apparently, that the actress skipped out on the movie’s afterparty to be with her children, Apple and Moses. Stars at the SoHo Grand event included Gwynnie’s friend Helena Christensen, Liev Schreiber, Famke Janssen and Jane Fonda.
For those of you interested in checking out Brad’s Paltrow-approved performance, Babel is set in the remote sands of the Moroccan desert, with a rifle shot detonating a chain of events that links an American tourist couple’s (played by Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett) frantic struggle to survive, two Moroccan boys involved in an accidental crime, a nanny illegally crossing into Mexico with two American children and a Japanese teen rebel whose father is sought by the police in Tokyo on vacation.
Sweet! I love comedies.

I always thought Brad was a one note actor. It’ll be interesting to see if he actually is good in it.
