According to TMZ, rapper Snoop Doggy Dogg was busted for attempting to carry a weapon through an airport security checkpoint. Law enforcement officials say that Snoop attempted to walk through an X-ray machine at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, Calif. late last month with a 21″ collapsible baton packed in his laptop computer case. Sheriffs’ deputies were called to the scene where they detained the rapper and confiscated the weapon.
Although Snoop was not arrested, the Sheriff’s Department file was sent to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office to determine whether to file criminal charges.
I just can’t picture Snoop, of all people, carrying one of those. S-N-DOUBLE-O-TO-THE-P… with a laptop computer case? That’s probably what raised suspicion in the first place.
