Jessica Simpson has finally commented on her failed pursuit of a part in the big-screen adaption of Dallas, revealing she initially auditioned for the role of young, sexy Lucy Ewing, but “couldn’t really pull it off… so they wanted me to come back for Pam Ewing. They saw me as something more mature… I really thought I nailed it and had a chemistry read with Luke Wilson, who was playing Bobby.”
After the media reported Jess would be in the film, she got the dreaded call: They didn’t think she was right for Pam, either. Jess laments:
“Everyone was saying I was going to be in Dallas, and I didn’t get the part. I did not get it. How embarrassing is that?”
Poor Jess. She just needs a more challenging project in which to sink her teeth. In fact, she’s a dead-ringer for the starring role in Coke, Collagen and Cobain: The Courtney Love Story (A Hallmark Presentation):
Now that would be a juicy role.
