Sony Pictures:  Marketing Geniuses

This television spot for Marie Antoinette not only highlights Kirsten Dunst’s Valley Girl-esque take on a Viennese accent, but also Sony Pictures‘ flare for stating the obvious:

Marie Antoinette. Based on a true story.”

Brilliant, no? That’s as redundant as saying, “ATM machine.” Or “wet water.” Or “smoking hot Beckham.”

Well. Not quite.
