ABC’s much hyped Ugly Betty debuted before 16.3 million viewers, according to Nielsen’s stats. In fact, it scored more viewers than any other new show premiere to date.
Did y’all see it? America Ferrera was totally adorable — even defaced with ridiculous braces. The show itself? Disappointing, if you ask me. And even if you don’t. The characters were so over-the-top — cartoonish, practically — when compared to the more nuanced characters in my fave movie of the year, The Devil Wears Prada. Especially evil fashion editor, Vanessa Williams, who’s written to be Cruella Deville in Manolos (at least animal prints are in right now).
But I’ll totally keep watching it, of course. Because it’s on before Grey’s Anatomy, where McSteamy has landed a contract role! Holy eye candy! McDreamy, McSteamy and McCutie Chris O’Donnell on the same freakin’ show… makes Candy a very happy girl.
With which hottie would you like to play doctor? Or maybe a McSandwich?
